GREETINGS! It is our honor and pleasure to announce that the City of Yokohama, has been granted by the International Table Tennis Federation, the opportunity to host the World Individuals Table Tennis Championships 2009 to be held from April 28th to May 5th, 2009. The table tennis fans around the world look forward to this Championship with great hopes and enthusiasm, and we intend to make it a grand event along with the ceremony of the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the Port of Yokohama to welcome everyone from around the world.

Notice to spectators

Spectators are kindly requested to observe the following rules for smooth operation of the event.

■ Banners and flags must be smaller than 100cm x 40cm and should not be made of hard material (board, pole, etc.)

■ Bannes, flags, etc. for cheering bearing the names of specific companies and groups (including school names) as well as religious and political messages, are prohibited.

■ Use of items for cheering (stick baloons, whistles, etc.) should be stopped immediately if the organizer deems their use disruptive to the game.

■ Any act or item which the organizer deems to be dangerous, a nuisance to the players or other spectators or which violates the rights of the event sponsors will be prohibited.

■ Food, drinks, smoking, pet are prohibited in the arena.

■ Video recording and flush photography are prohibited in the arena.
